Hi, I'm Jessica McIntyre, but most people call me JMac.
Picture me in my second year of residency, 2 a.m., midway through a 28-hour PICU shift. I had just finished intubating a baby. I went to the call room, sat down on the twin bed in the dark and realized I felt completely empty.
Not tired. Empty.
What scared me was the realization that I had no idea who I was outside of being a doctor.
What helped me through that year wasn't more information or a better plan. It was other women.
Later, when I went looking for that same kind of connection in a space built specifically for women physicians, I couldn't find it. So I built the room I had been searching for.
And I didn't want another place where women physicians gather only when something is wrong. I wanted the whole thing: the hard decisions, the bold ideas, the ridiculous stories, the career pivots, the surprising wins, and the parts of ourselves medicine never got to own.

What if I can't attend the workshops live?
Some workshops include replays. Others are live-only so everyone can be fully present together. Attendance is optional. So is being on camera, and so is speaking. PJs are also optional, but highly encouraged.
What if I don't have time?
Most members spend 10 to 30 minutes a week here, and most of what's inside doesn't require being logged in live. Some come to everything. Others drop in when they need it. There's no attendance requirement.
Where does the community actually live?
On a private women-ran platform that isn't Facebook and isn't running an algorithm on you. Web and app are both available, whichever you prefer.
How do I claim my CME credit?
We walk you through it step by step, and your certificates are delivered straight to your email inbox.
Do I have to be actively practicing?
No. Physicians in transition or stepping back from clinical medicine belong here too.
Is this therapy or coaching?
No. WPC is a peer community. You are not a patient here, and I am not your coach. It's real conversation, physician to physician.
From time to time we may invite guest coaches or facilitators to lead optional group coaching experiences or workshops. Those sessions are always clearly identified.
